HOMEWORLDS - The foundation of the Starjourn mission is to gather rare resources to supply fledgling colonies on new worlds at the outer reaches of deep space. Every time you enter a sector you will be assigned a new world in need of your assistance.
STARSHIPS - Additionally at the start of each voyage, the player is assigned a new starship for use in their expedition. Randomly pulled from the shipyard, choose to hold onto it for your whole venture your use some of your profits to purchase one of 4 custom ships or take a chance on another new random pull from the shipyards.
ASTEROID MINING - The primary way to turn a profit out amongst the stars in this game is by seeking out and mining asteroids. Several types offer different resources which Merchants will want in varying amounts. As you go into deeper sectors, be careful of denser asteroid fields and collisions as you try to collect for an ever increasing demand for resources.
PILOTS - In addition to randomly generated worlds and ships, at the start of the game the player can also choose to randomly generate their pilot helmet icon as part of their Pilot Card. As you explore space, you’ll also encounter Merchants that have their very own unique Pilot Icon that will appear in your Comms Hub when you are within range of them.
MERCHANTS - Drifting throughout space are randomized Merchant Vessels. Get within their orbital perimeter and you’ll see their pilot in your Comms Hub along with the resources they seek and how much they offer in return. Their crafts, along with each pilot, is randomly generated just like many other parts to this infinitely explorable little arcade game!
PIRATES - A hazard you will encounter as you explore are pirates and rogue ships lurking and exploring too. There are three types: Raiders, Pirates Hives, and Seekers. You may even choose to engage in piracy yourself and then Pirate Hives won’t engage unless provoked. However, if you are defeated by any of these ships they will steal your cargo resources so be sure to seek them out and get it back.
PILOT CARDS - From Save Manager menu players can choose to export/import their saves alongside the option to export a Pilot Card. This Pilot Card image is a great snapshot that players can keep as a log of their journey or to share with friends. The stats even allow a simple morality system where a player can maintain a clean run free from piracy, or choose piracy as primary form of play.

PLAY SPACE AND SYSTEMS READOUT - The game features a top-down style play area with easy mouse click controls, simply left click where you want to propel the ship. Inertia will even carry you ship for quite a distance in the vacuum of space, so be careful not to drift and collide with asteroids. Use the right click button to shoot in the direction you click to destroy asteroids and fight against Pirates and enemies. The right side of the screen features a Systems Readout with many parts that let the player interact with and track their progress on their mission to explore into the uncharted sectors of deep space! Simply click on buttons in this Systems Readout area to interact with them.
