STARJOURN: INFINITE transforms the original Starjourn journey into a large-scale galactic exploration campaign using procedurally generated Star Maps. Explore whole sectors of space with the new mission of discovering and colonizing your own little world amongst gas giants, black holes, asteroids fields, and the nebulous space in-between. Star Maps are Procedurally generated, not AI, code written for Illustrator generates the cards.

STARJOURN : INFINITE - What's New / How to Play:

Starjourn Infinite runs on the same basic engine as the classic card game. Players Roll 2 D6 and add them together for Fuel Points, they have a Life Support Resource Point level managed on a D20, and a random draw from a deck of Events each turn impacts the players goal to collect a full supply of resources and return. New to Infinite is the addition of another D20 to separate Player's life support from Cargo Resources that the player can now use towards Colonizing civilizations on uncharted worlds!

STAR MAPS - In the Digital Game Version there are Star Map Boards, 35 locations in a 7x5 grid with at least 10 unique boards!

Classic Starjourn movement using Fuel Points versus locations' edge values apply but locations are visible now as a whole so the player may scan the board and plan their journey to build a colony.

Starjourn Infinite uses a specially balanced system to generate the values to create the constant potential for challenging paths to emerge on each board.

NEW PLANET TYPES Key to Starjourn: Infinite is the distinct classification of 6 main location types

  • Black Holes: Locations that might be easy to move to, but getting stranded there will cost you.

  • Gas Giants: Massive Gas Giants that offer now landing, but perhaps resources can be found some way.

  • Planets (Charted): There's an endless variety of worlds, but some have already been claimed.

  • Planets (Uncharted): Uncharted worlds are the goal, find your own and use resources to build a colony all your own.

  • Nebula Space: An expanse of space that doesn't have much to offer and often risks more than rewards.

  • Asteroid Fields: These clusters of asteroids sometimes yield decent resources but are troublesome to traverse.

  • The layout and design of this version of Starjourn is distinct as there is some new information to convey.

  • Locations now have graphical designs that make it clear what type they are whilst still each one is unique and one of a kind.

  • The + value in blue at the upper left of each location is the Resources Gained from that location.

  • The - value in orange at the bottom right of each location is the loss Resource value if stranded.

CREATE YOUR OWN CIVILIZATION

New is the Star Icons below the Resources Gained value which represents if a location is colonized and to what level.

  • Players must find and colonize uncharted worlds, worlds without Star Icons.

  • When a player colonizes a world, and for each upgrade level, they gain a +1 in the Resources they can gain from that world.

  • Find a Resource rich uncharted world and build up a mining colony! Each play through becomes a unique space adventure with your own story!
